Quite often, the single distributor receives requests from citizens to supply retail pharmacies with certain medicines. We encounter similar questions on social networks. People mistakenly associate interruptions in the supply of medicines to private pharmacies with the activities of SK- Pharmaceuticals.
To avoid misunderstandings, we officially declare: SK-Pharmaceuticals LLC is not engaged in the purchase, supply and pricing of medicines and medical products for private pharmacies. The single distributor carries out purchases within the guaranteed volume of free medical care and compulsory social health insurance. The retail segment of the pharmaceutical market is beyond our competence.
We purchase and supply medicines for free drug provision at two levels: inpatient - drug treatment in hospitals; outpatient - obtaining prescription drugs in clinics.
Purchases are carried out strictly on the basis of applications from medical organizations within the framework of inpatient care and the Social Health Insurance Fund within the framework of outpatient drug provision.
Medical organizations independently determine the need for medicines: their names, dosages, forms of release, volumes and delivery schedules.
In addition, a single distributor participates in the development of the domestic pharmaceutical industry by concluding long-term contracts for the supply of medicines and medical devices for up to 10 years with Kazakhstani manufacturers.
As for private pharmacies, they are business entities and operate in a market economy. Pharmacies make purchases from wholesale distributors and independently forecast their needs.
To summarize: interruptions in private pharmacies are not related to the activities of SK- Pharmaceuticals. We focus our efforts on ensuring free drug provision within the framework of the GVFMC and CSHI. All questions related to the retail segment should be addressed to pharmacy owners and their suppliers.
